US Initial Jobless Claims worse than forecasts
The US released its Initial Jobless Claims for July 31 rose to 479 thousand; worse than the forecasted 455 thousand and the prior revised reading of 460 thousand from 457 thousand, while the Continuing Claims for July 24 came in at 4537 thousand; worse than the predicted 4515 thousand but better than the prior revised reading of 4571 thousand from 4565 thousand.
